We started training in 2007. Cardio X Training was the moniker. Cardio had duel meaning as was one letter from our last name and we originally did a lot of cardiovascular training at the beginning. The X Training means Cross Training. Which was more applicable. After many years of using Cardio X Training, we revamped our name to CXT Hardcore. Many outsiders thought we were a “run club,” so a name change was necessary.
We have evolved into a Sport Specific Training Centre, focussing mainly on hockey and ringette. Especially with our skating machine. We utilize HIIT Training, Circuit Training along with Plyometrics and traditional weight training to elevate our Athletes fitness. We have trained hundreds and hundreds of Athletes, with small group training and even more through our Hockey/Ringette Team Training.
We have programs to increase your speed, strength and overall conditioning along with an on-ice component during the summer. We believe a year round approach beats the “one or two week camp” only approach. Many of our Athletes are typically some of the top players on their respective teams. Through our own programs and through Speed Training, we have helped players to the next level, including NHL and WHL draft picks, and players and alumni playing in the WHL, CIS, ECHL, MJHL, AJHL, SJHL, KJHL, WHSHL, MMJHL… (See Athletes page).
Ladies and Co-ed Training provide a friendly-safe environment for training. We have helped Ladies and Men achieve their weight loss and fitness goals. We put the FUN in Functional Training.
